President of Shahroud University of Medical Sciences Emphasizes Key Role of Faculty in Educating Future Generations

Mohammad Hassan Emamian highlighted the critical role of faculty members in educating the younger generation and advancing scientific, cultural, and research development.

 Speaking at a ceremony marking Teacher’s Day and the anniversary of Morteza Motahhari, attended by senior university officials and academic staff, he stated that universities are not only responsible for knowledge transfer but also for nurturing responsible, ethical, and culturally grounded individuals. He emphasized the importance of faculty members’ cultural and ethical leadership, particularly in guiding students amid contemporary media influences, and underscored the need to balance scientific progress with social responsibility.

The President also referred to the university’s recent achievements, including its first inclusion in the Times Higher Education rankings and its recognition as a leading university in Semnan Province, as well as the accreditation of its School of Medicine. He concluded by stressing the importance of interdisciplinary research, academic collaboration, and the expansion of national and international partnerships to achieve higher institutional standing.
